...MAKE DONUTS!
One of my favorite gifts I gave Eric, and I think one of his favorite gifts was a Donut Maker. Eric loves donuts. He always used to say he wanted our wedding cake to be a tower of donuts frosted to look like a real cake. Then when it was time to cut the cake, he would just reach in and pull out a donut. Well his idea didn't win.
This year when I was looking for Christmas presents I found this donut maker and knew I had to get it. In case anyone is curious, I got it from abcdistributing.com. I first found this site when I found the butterflies for Alex's room. And what can I say, I got many many Christmas presents for family from here this year, all of which they love.
So after Christmas we had to try it out. And it was a success. They definitely are best when they are warm, and we dipped them in some glaze (powdered sugar, milk and vanilla) and they were so so good.

ReplyDeleteI have been making mine the "hillbilly" way.
Ok, maybe that's not what it's called but I am stuck on that southern thANG now.
I take biscuits and form a hole in the middle then I drop them in the hot oil. VOILA! Donuts
We lather chocolate frosting on them and sometimes we make a powdered sugar/milk glaze
MMM! Now I want some.

ReplyDeleteHi! I got one of these for my brother-in-law for Christmas but his didn't come with any instructions or recipe or anything. The company is VERY hard to get a hold of. I was looking on line to see if I could find it and I found your blog. I was wondering if there is a chance if you could scan the paperwork that it came with and email it to me? foxx5@cox.net Thanks!
