Thank you Rain

After a day of rain and sorrow a little light is needed today

A friend upon waking up to see it raining said she first grumbled and complained; but then she realized without rain there would be no flowers.

without rain there would be no green grass

without rain it would all just be a barren desert.

So thank you rain-- for helping us see the beauty that there is all around us.

  1. So beautiful, those photos. And how true is that sentiment? Personally, I love rain. I love the music it makes and the smells it brings up and how everything is just so much greener. That said, I don't think I could ever live in Portland. :) You have it just right. Lots of rain in February/March, lovely and hot the rest of the year.

  2. Yes we do need it...even though at the time we would rather do without!

  3. See I see the rain from a farmer's stand point and a person who loves to eat :). And people around here grumble and complain about the rain but we've been in a drought for 2 years, rain is good :) Love this post!

  7. I love this post. And I love rain too. Washington was the most beautiful place I have ever lived. It smelled the best too.

  8. We LOVE rain down here in NM...haha, in WA I used to get really frustrated with all the rain, but then again you have all that green beauty. I'd still pick the desert over that though. But we get some good thunderstorms down her during monsoon season. :-) I'm going to try to get back to reading your blog again! yay :-)

  10. I totally agree, except for us, 2 weeks of non-stop rain has led to flooding on the west side of Michigan, where I grew up. The rain can stop now. ;-)
