December=Fudge

Since yesterday was officially the first day of December, well I just had to make some Christmas goodies. And yesterday we started off right, with fudge!

This is the easiest most yummy recipe I have ever seen.

First step: Enlist a helper

Second step: Only use the best ingredients

Third Step: Break up the chocolate and try and stop the helper from eating it all

Fourth Step: Combine Chocolate

Fifth Step: Taste test the marshmallow fluff

Sixth Step: Ban "helper" who is eating too much chocolate and fluff
Seventh Step: Take a picture of finished product, which may or may not be already missing a row
And don't worry here is the real recipe now so you can all enjoy it too!

Million Dollar Fudge

1 can evaporated milk
4 1/2 cups sugar
2 T. butter
dash salt
1 pkg (12 oz) chocolate chips
1 bar (12 oz) sweet chocolate broken into pieces ((3 boxes of Bakers chocolate))
1 Jar (8 oz) marshmallow whip
2 1/2 cups chopped walnuts ((optional--I never use))

1. Mix first 4 ingredients in pot; boil and stir for 7 minutes.
2. Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl, mix well. Pour bowling mixture over this. Stir until fudge is creamy.
3. Pour into buttered 13 X 9" pan to cool. Cut when cool ((and scrape all the warm extra fudge from the bowl and eat--oh wait, I made that up))

See--simple! I usually use my pampered chef chopper to chop the Bakers' chocolate. My mom just used to cut all of the squares in half. Also, most of the ingredients marshmallow fluff, etc do not come in those sizes anymore.. but since they are all a bit smaller it works out in the end.

  1. LOL!! I might have to try this one! I've always made my mom's fudge, but it's so labor intensive! Might have to give myself a break this year :)

  2. YUM! I just found out that my oven is out of commission until the New Year and need an alternate to baking. This could be perfect, but we could have a big problem with marshmallow fluff in my house :) Thanks for sharing!

  3. Oh yes, fudge! I forgot about that. I'll have to add it to my list . . .haha

    Aren't helpers so helpful?!

    At least they're cute!

  4. I love your "helper" pictures. I may have to do that. One of the ways that I bond with my girls is by baking! I make that fudge, but I do it a little differently with mini marshmallows and less sugar.

  7. I'm trying not to eat any sweets, but fudge always brings back great memories. My grandpa always made me fudge for my birthday and always took me aside to say I didn't have to share it with my 5 siblings. Hehe. Whenever someone gives us fudge it always brings back that memory of my sweet grandpa.

  9. Vana White eat your heart out, a new helper has come to stay! And what a cute helper (I love the messy face photos) she is!
Can't wait to try the fudge recipe. I tend to always kill my candies that I attempt, but perhaps the secret is to have that little helper...

  16. I love making FUDGE!!!! I use the Easy Fantasy Fudge recipe and it turns out every time. Want a hint for making the cleanup easier, line your pan with parchment paper, and voila just throw it away and no big messy cleanup.

By the way that picture of the Fudge is making me want to make some too!!
