New Years Interview Questions For Kids

Happy 2015!  It is the New Year and so time for my yearly New Years Kids Interview.   Every year I like to ask my kids these set of questions, it is fun to see how some answers stay the same and others change over the years.

My thoughts: I think it is funny that all three of my kids said Knotts even though we only went there once this year, and the one time we did they all got bored before the day was over.  It also made me happy to see that last year while he was feeling friendless, now this year he has two true best friends.

My thoughts: I was amazed at how more mature many of Alex's answers were this year.  Plus I thought it was funny that every year I have asked these questions she always has chosen an L name that she would change her name too.  (Two years ago she said "light bulb")

If I gave you $100 what would you do with it?  buy a new bike“throw it away”)
What are you afraid of? bats  (“What is it?”  “I don’t know”)

My thoughts: With Ryder it was most apparent the influence of siblings in his answers, from his favorite drink to now his favorite game and I am glad he isn't just going to throw his money away anymore.  Though he just got a new bike for Christmas, not sure why he thinks he needs another.

  2. I love these!! How old was Ryder when you first started asking these questions? I want to ask Piglet, but not sure how much he could actually answer. I think I may at least try! Love watching your sweet babies grow up. Happy New year friend!

    1. I think I started it about two years ago- so he was two. He definitely didn't answer much the first time and definitely got a lot of prompting from his siblings.

  3. Such a cute idea! I love this. I was thinking about doing something similar for my boys' birthdays which are coming up soon, but I love the New Year's idea as well.

Alex's cereal choice is so grown up!

  5. What a fun game for the kids AND their grandparents! Every New Years Eve, we have our 3 grandsons, ages 10, 8 and 6 come to spend the night with us while our daughter and her husband celebrate the New Year. I try to come with new ideas every year for games, treats and crafts the five of us can do. My husband and I will probably have more fun than the boys with this, I can only imagine some of their answers. Happy New Year!
