5 Thoughts
1. You may have heard it snowed in Southern California, not just up in the mountains but in the valley too.  In the town I used to live, at my old house there was at least 3" of snow on the ground.  At my house it was snowing some but the winds were so strong that it didn't have a chance to land on the ground, let alone stick.  As I saw all of my friends pictures playing in the SoCal Snow, I have to admit I was a little jealous and sad we didn't get any.

2. We have been on several bike rides since Christmas.  Before Christmas I had not rode a bike since I was a teenager.  The expression "it's like riding a bike" is true...all except for the bum, man mine was sore!

3. I have started a 365 project on Instagram.  I have started one before a few different times.  We will see how this one goes.  I am going to be recapping and sharing some of my favorites with some other bloggers at the end of every month, so I think it should keep me fairly on top of it.  My goal is to take at least half of the pictures with my real camera.  Don't get me wrong, I love my iPhone camera, but it's good to get the real one out other than just for photo shoots.

4. Eric and I have been re-watching the last season of Downton Abbey in preparation for this Sunday.  I am so excited!  Love that show!

5. I haven't made any real resolutions for this year, nothing I have written down, but I do have a lot of things I want to do better at.  So here is for a new year!

5 Pictures
We did get snow on our mountains... just none at our house
Huge fort Eric made in the playroom for the kids- they slept in it New Years Eve (and last night too)
Warming their feet by the fire.. we've been so cold with our almost freezing temperatures
Ringing in the New Year (at 9:00) with sparkling cider
My first picture of 2015- my donut breakfast

What is your 5 for the week?

****Don't forget-today is last day for the 2014 Review Extravaganza.  Also- you can still link up with 10 things to Smile About in December.***

  1. Such cute pictures! Love the one of everyone snuggling in front of the fire. I can't believe you got snow. We typically get a ton of snow where I live and haven't seen any so far. You're the second blogger who's mentioned the 365 project. Hmmm...I may have to join. Sounds fun. Happy Friday!

    1. You should do a 365 it is fun! Yes the weather has definitely been weird everywhere this winter

  2. I can attest to things being like riding a bicycle -- that's how I say it is with riding horses, especially the sore bum part! Too funny :D I am hoping to do a project 365 on Instagram too! Let's hope I can make it more than just one or two days ha ha.

    1. Yes, it is so easy to falter quickly. I already almost missed a day this year but did it just in time at 11:45!

  3. We got snow about 20 minutes north us in the foothills but didn't go see it. We should have! Enjoy the new season of Downton Abbey, it's so good! I watched it already with the overseas crowd.

    1. Yes, one of these days I want to take my kids up to Big Bear to play in the snow.

  4. Looks like you guys had a great holiday season! :)

  5. I was wondering if you guys got snow. So crazy!!

    Happy New Year!

  6. Um... yum, that donut looks amazing! So I started my 365 project September 1... I feel like the out cast... so many people are starting January 1. I almost want to start over but... I'm 124 days in...

    1. Nah, just keep going! You have been doing it consistently so no need to change

  7. I live in OC, so we didn't get any snow, but it snowed where I used to live too. So crazy!

    1. I know, where I used to live was slammed, it was crazy
