I See..

I sit in the lobby waiting for my ride.

I see grandparents with kids waiting for that special moment.

I see extended family and friends nervously pacing back and forth.

I see happy new parents carrying their new babies out to the car.

This is the way it was supposed to be.

This is how it was supposed to happen.

I see... And I wish... And I want

and then my ride comes.

  1. Bittersweet. Your day will come. You will walk out with your little man. And then it won't be bitter anymore. It will just be sweet.

  2. I can't even imagine how you are feeling. My friend had her baby a month ago, and her baby had to be in the NICU for 2 weeks. Hang in there, and soon your day will come :)

  3. Oh I understand your feelings all to well, but it will get better. My crazy boys are evidence of that. Even Eden acts as if nothing happened six months ago.

  4. Ditto Lourie!
Hang in there - it'll be good.

  5. Emmy, your and Ryders day will come.

  6. We pray for that everyday. Your day will come...but you can allow yourself to be sad about the whole situation. It is so hard for you right now. Day by day it will get better. Hang in there!

  7. Awww sweetie....breathe and is as it should will get a gift from this..even though it does not feel that way right now. My heart is hurting for you hon.
When I had my first...29 years ago..I was a single mom...back was not cool. I sat in my hospital room and watched all the families bring gifts and balloons..visitors coming and going..I was alone with no flowers or gifts...just me and Julia. The nurses were so wonderful...they made sure they came in and gave me hugs and made me feel cared for. But yes...was bittersweet. The gift..I have a heart for young single moms...I do!
    Hugs and love, Sarah

  8. One day, one day. Praying for you.

  9. I'm sure this is hard. It will come soon.

  10. it's sucks. it could suck more, but that doesn't make it suck less now either;-).

  11. Been there. One day it'll all be an interesting story to tell.
