Intoducing Ryder Trent

Right before lunch yesterday I thought I was leaking a lot more fluid... Turns out it was blood. So some decisions were made and yesterday shortly after 3:00 Ryder was born. He weighs 4 lbs 9 oz and is 18 inches long. So very big for his age. He seems to be doing great and is already breathing mostly normal air. After a round of hot flashes and nausea last night I am feeling much better too. I guess he just wanted to be a Utah baby instead of a California baby.

Will try and get pictures up, just having issues.

  5. Okay, I have been completely out of it in blog world. I just read the last three blog posts and got caught up. I am SO GLAD everything is okay. How scary! And I'm sorry for the things your kids will miss, and how worried they are about you (I completely understand too - my Aidan has been similar lately). I wish you the best!

  6. Emily, wishing you and Ryder all the best! What's that saying . . . Life is what happens when you're making other plans? Who knew you'd go for a little road trip and come back with a baby? At any rate, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

  22. This could possibly be one of those times when something is actually a blessing in disguise. If he's that big now, can you imagine how big he would have been in 8-9 more weeks???? ouch.

  26. Happy birthday, Ryder! Welcome to the world. Emmy, I know this is a tough time for you...but, thank God, all is well. I didn't know what was going on with you lately; I'm truly sorry. I can relate to difficulties during pregnancy and premature delivery. I can also tell you now that "all is well" for us, as I'm sure it will be for you. In fact, we can hardly believe our daughter ever fit into preemie clothes. Scary, I know, but I also know you'll make it.

Thoughts and prayers are with you...all of you.
