I have been fighting a cold for about two weeks now. The kids, especially Ryder has been sick too. Eric came home from work on Friday having succumb to the illness also. Friday evening we were laying in bed talking, Eric's voice was pretty much nonexistent. We still managed to have a conversation with his barely audible voice. He asked me to say couple prayer. "Dear Heavenly Father..." I begin and bam my voice was gone too! I whispered my way through the prayer.
Saturday it was worse, I felt great but could hardly speak. Even with no voice I still managed to have a good visit with CA Girl, get told I was going to Hell (no not by CA Girl-but by some old guys inviting me to their church after I told them I am Mormon), went to a baptism, and went to dinner with a group of friends; though Eric had to tell the waitress my order for me.
So while I doctor up some more, head on over to my photography blog and see my Monday Mugs entry.
And definitely come back tomorrow to link up with your Ten Things to Smile About lists.
Oh dear, that's a bummer about your voice. I hope you and your family feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteBTW, who are they to judge you? I'm sorry you had that experience. People like that really anger me.
Wow! I hope you feel better soon!and how dare they judge you! Its not right!
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon! I'm still struggling to get over mine and now Buster is sick AGAIN. It is never ending!
ReplyDeleteGet feeling better!!!!
ReplyDeleteSeems to be pouring on you guys lately! Can't wait for your family to well again and your husband to be home! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI hate it when I lose my voice but I'm pretty sure everyone around is very happy about it ;)
ReplyDeleteI cannot tell you how many times I was told I was going to Hell during my time in CA! I started getting a complex! So rude!
Wow. Going to hell?
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess that's a sure way to get you to go to their church, huh? NOT.
Anyway. My husband had the flu AND strep last week. SO.NOT.GOOD.
We had the sickness in our house a few weeks ago and I have to say, my Little One losing his voice was the best part of that!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you're feeling run down and tired ... as you should. Take it easy and it will all come back to you in time.
I hope that you are feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you are all sick!! I hope you're on the mend soon!
ReplyDeleteLOL Thanks for clarifying who told you were going to hell. HAHAHA. I hope your voice is more normal and that Ryder is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteUgh! The sickness has got to go! I had to take Bailey to the Dr this morning and Lily and Ashton had their turn last week. I am done!! Get better!
ReplyDeleteOh I hate when I lose my voice, but truth be told, I sort of get a kick out of it as well. I think it is so funny. Not the hurty part, but the trying to talk part. However, as fun as I find it, I hope you get over it soon. Sometimes it is so frustrating (like at a restaurant). Heehee.
ReplyDeleteI had surgery over three weeks ago and I still sound like a 90 year old emphysema patient.
ReplyDeleteIt saddens me how some people who profess to be full of faith are often the quickest to judge. Theirs is not the only path. Geez!
ReplyDeleteFeel better!
I am on week 4 of the cold. Went to the doc last week, as you remember, and the sore throat was the part that the antibiotics got rid of. So glad that was the part to go!!!
ReplyDeleteFeel better fast, friend! I hope Ryder and Eric beat it, too. I'll be back tomorrow for Ten Things. Right on time ) I hope you're all well by then
ReplyDeletehope you feel better as soon as possible ... we can't have you down for long!
ReplyDeleteI hate this time of year for that reason. Someone (it rotates) has been sick at my house for like the last 3 months. I am so ready for spring.
