I got all of the decor from either the dollar store or the Dollar sections at Target and some items for less than a dollar at Walmart.
This year we added some sparkles with a shiny/sparkly table cloth.
At each place setting was a little tin bucket (Target $ section) filled with candies and a matchbox car for the boys and a little princess notebook for Alex (the one she was using in the beautiful pictures from "The Moment" post actually)
The white vases had chocolate roses (dollar store) in them- one for each of us.
The other great thing is that all of the parts of the table setting are disposable: plastic flute glasses (2/$1 at Dollar store),
paper plates, plastic sparkly silverware, napkins, heart dollies. The beauty in that is that clean up is so easy (and since it's a holiday it should be right!)
Dinner was red and white heart shaped ravioli (thank you Costco!), french bread, sushi for Eric and I (though the kids all tried it), mixed vegetables, fresh fruit, and root beer floats and a heart cake for dessert.
And we ate dinner by candle light of course.
It was a great night and a tradition we will definitely continue.
What did you do for Valentine's day?
