The Hunt

We went to the Easter Egg Hunt put on by our city today. Clouds rolled in and threatened to end the festivities but the rain held and the fun continued. The Easter Egg hunt was divided by age, but when there are about 50+ kids running out at once it isn't much of a hunt but more of a scramble. Both kids had fun and got their fair share of eggs, which were filled with a little bit of candy but mostly little trinkets and toys that will soon find their way to the garbage. Lucas was nervous about going out by himself but he was awesome and followed daddy's advice not to go the middle with the rest of the mass but to the corner were he gathered eggs practically all by himself. He wasn't quite sure what to do once all the eggs were gone, but he soon figured it out and was enjoying the candy inside.

There was also the standard bou
ncy toy, fire truck, petting zoo and of course the Easter Bunny. The line to see the bunny was way too long to bother with.

All in all it was a great morning and the kids had fun,
that is what it is all about.

  1. Sounds like it was fun. I was just a stick-in-the-mud and stayed home. haha.

  2. Fun! We went to one this morning too. SOOOOOO many kids, but Ethan had fun and got too much candy. :) Madeline will have to wait until next year - we didn't want her trampled!
