Funny Friday: A few facts

In school did you ever have to write about your favorite summer vacation or something funny that happened to you? I know I did, and I hated it! I did not hate it because I didn't enjoy writing, in fact I love it (a lot of the reason I write this blog). I hated it because as soon as someone asks me something like that, my mind goes blank and I can hardly remember my name let alone something good to tell.

And of course, as soon as I am done writing or telling some semi-interesting thing, I suddenly remember about ten million good stories.

So I have decided I am going to start writing some funny random things down, because if I see them (as I am a visual person) than maybe I will remember them for the next time I am in this situation.

So here are a few funny and true things are all about me and Eric.
  1. Eric used to spray poo for a living. How many people can say that? I guess I should clarify. He used to pneumatically install bark and compost into flower beds and such. In English, he used a really big hose that was hooked to a truck and rather than having to use a wheel barrow to bring in loads of bark or compost he would blow it in. It was my job to have the bucket and hose ready to spray him off before he entered our house. Those clothes were only washed at the laundry mat.. were we probably broke about three washers (sorry to the little laundromat in Lehi)
  2. The engine dropped out of Eric's car, while I was driving it. Did I mention his car was stick-shift and I was just starting to feel like I knew how to drive stick when this happened?
  3. My husband is 15" taller than me. I am not that short, I am 5'5", he is 6'8".
  4. I taught Eric how to REALLY burb. He has two sisters, I have three brothers (and two sisters). We learned different things growing up.
A random old picture of Eric and I when he graduated from BYU
he didn't have to spray poo after that

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I should be posting some more school supply sales tomorrow.

  1. I HAVE TAUGHT MY BOYS HOW TO BURP LOUD AND LONG. I DON'T KNOW WHERE I LEARNED THAT FROM SINCE I WAS RAISED BY A SINGLE MOTHER AND DON'T KNOW MY FATHER. LOVE THE FUNNY FRIDAYS.

  7. Poo spraying. I bet that is something few can claim to have done. I need a lesson in burping, if ever I do manage one it's pretty much a miracle and I get sarcastic applause.

I agree with the rice krispie conspiracy. I've found the recipe on the generic krispies, though. Go figure?

  9. I'm like that with speaking. I will finish a conversation, walk away, then think of something terribly clever to say!

  10. Wonderful post! I think it's a great idea to jot down funny or amusing things before you have a chance to forget them - sometimes they're great conversation-starters! LOL

    Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest!
