The Real Santa

Today...

Today is the first day of my kids three week Christmas vacation... yes three weeks. We'll see how we survive it at the end.

Today is the day I am going to try and get my Christmas shopping finally all finished.

Today is the day I am going to make a lot of cookies to take to people we are caroling to tonight... except the rain we have had the last 4 days might change those plans. Not really one to carol in the rain.

Last week Santa came to Alex's preschool. He read them a story, answered their questions and they all got to sit on his lap and get a picture. While Santa was reading Twas the Night Before Christmas, Alex turned to me and said "It's the real Santa!"

Today is a good day as it is the start of the week where we get to celebrate Christmas, get to see the kids pure joy and excitement and most importantly celebrate our Savior's birth.

I hope you are enjoying this Christmas season! Do you have your shopping done yet?

  4. How can you tell if the Santa you are with is the "real" Santa? Is it by the tone of his beard?

  11. Well, Ryder certainly handled the Santa visit well! And Alex obviously has no problems! We took our kids today and even though Daisy has been talking about what she was going to ask Santa for for weeks, when we got up their she covered her eyes with her hands and wouldn't look at anyone! It was kind of funny! She didn't scream though so that was a plus. Good luck with the caroling! And please send some rain our way!!

  16. He is the real Santa! Look at him!
Just FYI--used your easy pasta recipe for my dinner last week--perfect! I actually did it up in individual oven-safe bowls, and it was very well-received.
    Thanks for sharing!
