Friday Confessional

It has been a while since I have a good soul cleansing confessional... or well at least a Friday confessional with Glamazon. And this time it isn't only with Glamazon, she has joined up with Mamarazzi to host this every week. Look at their cute new button!

So let it all out, grab the button and play along with these two, it is fun.
  • My kids are still on Christmas break.
  • Yes still, they don't go back until Tuesday.
  • We will be spending their last day of break by taking Lucas to the dentist.
  • He has four loose teeth but all are barely loose and one adult tooth is already coming in, behind the baby teeth.
  • Oh goody.
  • I had such a fun time with my family being here over Christmas.. but now I feel like I am in a rut.
  • I feel like I should be setting goals and doing things to better myself
  • but I hate setting goals.
  • Plus life is just a bit uncertain right now (i.e. we might probably will be moving this year) so it is hard to know what to do, what to try for.
  • Maybe I should just set a goal to actually get my hair cut and dyed.
  • Haven't had my hair cut since before I had Ryder.
  • Haven't gone to the dentist since before I was pregnant with Ryder....
  • hmmm I guess I should do those things.
  • Why do moms have such a hard time taking care of themselves? Or at least this mom.
  • Oh plus I have some Christmas cards I still have to send out! Doh!
  • All right, guess it is time to get off the computer and make some phone calls, and a trip to the post office...
  • (right after I read a few more blogs that is.)
  • Have a great weekend! First Cooking Club Recipe of 2011 tomorrow!
Oh and a since every post seems more interesting with a picture, my big and little sister who I actually got to spend lots of time with over Christmas!

  1. What a sweet picture!!

I always feel in a bit of a rut after the holidays. It's like a let down after all the excitement.

  4. Definitely treat yourself to a trip to the salon. The dentist...ummm....well it's not really a treat, but you don't want major dental work either.

Great pic of you and your sisters.

  7. It would be a lot easier to do stuff for ourselves if we didn't have to find babysitters every time!

Good luck with the uncertainty! Good luck finding time to get your hair done!

ps- I haven't gone to the dentist in a LONG time too. ;)

  9. Awww, you guys are so cute!
I hate goals. Make a goal to NOT make goals.

  10. I made a goal for the new year. It is to have one night a month as a girl's night. No kids around. Wanna come?

P.S. You should move back to UT! I know you are dieing to come back here, right? But think of all the fun we could have!

Good luck with the dentist. I don't envy you. I haven't been since I was pregnant with Keith. No insurance since then. Oops.

  12. Love the photo!!

And I was hoping you'd have a nice easy year after the craziness of last year but moving would change that!

  13. I'm in shock that your kids are still on break!

  14. I know that I never get anything done because I have to find someone to watch the kids, during the day when places are open. Evenings and weekends are so busy there is just no time! I did get a haircut while my hubby was off work last week but now I need to make Dr and Dentist appointments!

  15. Great picture. I think we stop taking care of ourselves or finding time because we are busy taking care of everyone else.

  17. We have quite a bit of snow in our forecast so maybe mine should still be out on break!

  18. I was concerned because one of Ethan's teeth were growing in behind his baby tooth that hadn't fallen out yet, but the dentist was completely unconcerned and said that as soon as he loses the baby tooth, the adult tooth would push into place. Sure enough, that's exactly what happened!

I love that you are sending out Christmas cards in the new year :)

  19. That makes me feel better- I thought I was the only one feeling this way! Thanks for confessing Emmy, as I'm in a bit of a rut, need to go to the dentist about a tooth I cracked way back in August and am about to finish up my Christmas cards. I wish us both luck!!

  20. I am waiting at my hair place right now to get my hair cut and colored. Always makes me feel better:) it will most def get you out of your rut. Unless you want to stay in it?

  21. January is such a crazy month...your goal, just to get through it!

  22. I would go stark raving mad if my kids were still on Christmas break! Of course, half of my school going kids have been sick, so it's almost like an extended Christmas break...
You just reminded me I need to make a dentist appointment. I'd much rather make an appointment to have my hair cut and dyed.
    Maybe I'll do that!
