It's Thursday! Time for Proud Mommy Moments- if you are new and don't know what PMM are- you can read about it here.

And don't forget to head over to my cohost Kmama's blog and check out her PMM too.

Yesterday was the last day of school for both Lucas and Alex and they both had graduations this week- Lucas' kindergarten one was Monday and Alex's preschool graduation was yesterday. Oh and before I go on, is it just me or where there no such things as kindergarten graduations when we were little??

So this week my PMM comes all thanks to my big guy. Last year as he began kindergarten I wondered how it would go this time.

Lucas first day---------Lucas graduation day

As I sat there at his graduation and thought of all he accomplished this year I couldn't be happier. He went from barely being able to sit still, mostly just scribbling (as he had not patience for coloring), and writing his name in all caps--to being an amazing artist with incredibly neat hand writing and knowing how to read. And most importantly-he still has his heart of gold.

Yes, a very Proud Mommy Moment.

What is yours this week?

  1. I think it's kind of neat that they give small children graduation caps...foreshadowing of days to come. As a matter of fact, they can graduate from college! I'm having a proud Mimi moment. So so excited to see you guys!!!! Can't wait !!!

  3. Little kid graduations are so cute. I vaguely remember a kindergarten graduation for myself but I don't think my brother got one.

  6. Congrats to both you and Lucas!!

Our school system doesn't do kindergarten graduation. In fact, most school systems around us don't do it. I'm somewhat happy we don't do it (because I know I'd bawl my eyes out), but it's also kind of sad that we don't.

  7. Lucas has grown so much in this past year. It just amazes me. And no, we didn't have graduations. I am trying to remember if Cathy's kids had Kindergarten graduations. Kristin didnt have one, but Emily did, and they went to the same school. Whatever.

  8. Oh so sweet! It's fun seeing all the little graduation moments these past couple of weeks. My proud mommy moment is that my little girl only woke up once last night. But I didn't want to take a pic of her sleeping lest she wake up again!

  9. My daughter's preschool graduation is in two weeks and I know I'll bawl my eyes out. I won't have any preschoolers or babies in my house anymore, soon they'll both be big elementary school kids. I can't believe it! Where it the world does the time go? And I never had kindergarten grad either, but neither did my son last year, maybe it's just not something they do in Canada.

  10. My sons preschool graduation is in a few weeks. He too went from a "can't sit still and color" type of kid to one who won't leave the table until every last crayon has been used and the drawing complete. He amazes me. Congrats on your graduates!!

  13. So glad that he blossomed this year! It is amazing to see how they develop over the course of the school year isn't it?

I don't remember having all these graduations. I think we had one for 8th grade and high school and college and that was it.

Love the first photo where Lucas seems to be forcing Alex's head toward the camera!
