How I Feel About School Starting

School starts here next week.

On Monday to be specific.

You might be think I would be leaping for joy.(my niece)

But well I confess...
I think it feels a bit more like water squirting up your....A little weird, a little funny, slightly uncomfortable

but just something so refreshing and cool about it all at the same time.

How do you feel about school starting?

  1. You crack me up!

I love the back to school shopping and hair cuts and all that stuff. Aside from that, back to school doesn't really mean all that much to me because I work. I don't "enjoy" the summer like others do. It's kind of a bummer.

  3. When I was a kid, I liked school starting because I got new clothes (ha ha)...but when I had young children, I always found it to be an interruption to the fun we were having. Okay...fine! Being back on a schedule and routine was nice too.

  4. Im not ready for school to start. Ive only just started shoppiing and then when it starts life gets really busy. the whole getting up early to get kids out the door is just not my thing. I much prefer teh lazy days of summer. and we still 3 more weeks of them:)

  6. haha....I have a different perspective on school for me it means losing my husband to school and work and me and the kids 24/7. It's rough and I'm not looking forward to this next year...but then again we're another year closer to him graduating!

  7. We don't start for another couple of weeks here, but I'm kinda glad Turbo's going back. He's getting hard to entertain.

  8. As I said on my post...my joy about school starting knows no bounds. I can not wait. We are bored and sticky hot and stuck in the house here. It is time.

It will be sad to say goodbye to my new kindergartner the first time, but then I will realize we are all going to be happier, much, much happier!

  11. *Snicker, snort* Great shots. I am torn. I am not usual gleeful self. I look forward to the lack of fights, kid TV, and "Can we do something today." everyday. But I dread getting up early and homework fights. We start Thursday. I have a few more days. Thank goodness as we still have some work to do.

  12. Because I live by a high school, I'm not at all excited for school to start. Those first few weeks, the traffic is just horrible by my house :(

  13. That was hilarious!

School for my kids doesn't start till Aug. 30th. I think I would have a hard time if it started this early in the summer.

I think there are good things about it though too - kids get bored toward the end.

  23. lol! School starting doesn't really affect me since I don't have kids. I will miss being able to use the school field as a makeshift dog park.
Plus school starting means fall weather. YAY!

  26. I feel a little guilty about it, but I was ready for my kids to go back to school! After our adventures in UT, being at home was WAY too boring and they gave me a bit of a hard time.
