Proud Mommy Moments: Really Already?

It's Thursday! Which this week for us is like Friday as the kids have no school tomorrow- yes they just went back and already have a four day weekend! Anyway, focus Emily, Proud Mommy Moments is a weekly meme hosted by Kmama and myself. It is your chance to brag about your kids, tell us the things they did and/or tell us about those things that make you so so "proud"-i.e. totally embarrassed- but hey at least it makes for good blogging material. Grab the button, link up and play along.

All of the sudden the last couple of days Ryder is talking up a storm. Well way more then almost nothing he had been saying. A lot of it is still pretty unclear but he is obviously repeating everything I say. He even surprised me by saying, circle (ircle), square(quare), star (ar) and triangle (tri-gule) while he stacked those shaped blocks the other day. It is adorable when little kids begin talking.

As they get older sometimes the talking isn't as cute- especially when they get big into potty humor. It get's old fast.

So let me set up the scene while I was changing Ryder's diaper the other day.

"Ryder your face is messy," I stated while changing his diaper, "we need to clean it."
Ryder then grabbed the clean diaper and began wiping his face with it.
"You don't use a diaper to wipe your face" I said
His eyes suddenly lit up "Pee!" he said while waving the diaper in the air and then began uncontrollably giggling.

Seriously?! Potty humor and you aren't even two?

Heaven help me.

What is your Proud Mommy Moment today?

  5. He he, that's too funny. Thankful out of 4 kids, I only had to deal with one and potty humor so far. In fact, I have more issues with the two boys I babysit.

  8. I love the idea for this meme! My proud mommy moment for the day? Walking with my toddler through the store with my toddler (she was not in the cart) and not having to chase her down through the aisles.

  12. I love me some good potty humor. You already knew that. I love listening to Emma's language developing. I majored in Early Childhood and every stage really does happen just like they told me it would in college.

  14. I love new talkers, how cute are they! My sister is the WORST to have around, she teaches kids all kinds of random things to say (some not so approapriate). I cannot wait til her youngest is ready, she just turned one so it shouldn't be too long YAY! :)
