Some Days

Some days I feel guilty for letting my daughter watch one too many shows;
Some days I don't care as I need a break.

Some days I rock at the whole housekeeping thing, laundry, dishes, floors swept;
Some days I wonder how I will make it to the other side of the room because of the mess.

Some days I put on cute clothes, pants that fight just right and know I am smoking hot;
Some days I look in the mirror and wonder when the circles and lines got so big and dark.

Some days I find whatever snack looks good and is within my reach;
Some days I eat good healthy meals even getting all of my vegetables for the day.

Some days I just don't know how I will do it and don't even want to;
Some days it just seems so easy.

Every day no matter what that someday may have brought, I know that I am a daughter of God who loves me and wants so much more for me, some days I just remember it more than others.

  1. It's comforting to know that even on the days you don't remember it so well, he's still there. :)

  10. Good post! I definitely relate to the TV shows. I feel bad when my kid watches too much but sometimes I just really like the break. :)

  16. Very well said. On those less thrilling some days, I always find myself wondering how the heck I do it other days!

  18. It's on those days when we eat whatever, and have the circles that we have to push a little harder. Those days are hard. Knowing we are daughters of God is something we should always remember.

    And it's okay to take those breaks. ;)

    And now you are officially tagged...

  19. You pretty much just summed up my life. Especially the whole housekeeping part. Not the good you rock part, the mess part :)

  22. Love this! Although I think I'm usually on the bad side of the coin. My sweetie was home sick today and my whole world fell apart. I need to read your last sentence over and over until I have it memorized for days like this!
