What Do You See?

Look at this picture what do you see? The boy nicely doing his homework?

Me? I see the bag- the bag that contains his blanket that I tossed outside in a minute of frustration.

You see, he was sitting down nicely and doing his work, but then he decided to get up and terrorize his sister stealing her blanket-a blanket that just the day before had been missing and caused the end of the world (you can read about that on my photo blog here)-- so I calmly went up to his room, grabbed his blanket from his bed, put it in a bag, and tossed it outside- telling him he would get it back when homework was done.

See this picture, what do you see?
Me? I see a boy nicely doing his homework.

And that is some good news.

Lol! My girl is the same way about her blanket. Sometimes a mom is gotta to do what a mom gotta do.

Yep. A missing blanket IS the end of the world - at least in my house. Good for you. Tough love...I think it's tougher for US than it is for THEM. LOL

funny! I mean NOT funny, as I recognize the fuming mom who would take one kid's stuff and toss it out the door. Or throw it out. Do you think siblings will ever outgrow terrorizing each other? I was an only child so often I am left baffled. Visiting you from grump grateful's hop!

Kudos to you for finding a calm way of handling it that worked. And it looks like it worked well, ;).

I confess, I saw the bag first, but that's because you asked the question so I was looking for the thing that "didn't fit" in the picture.

Quiet homework is good! I recognize that reading series! We don't use it at my school, but it is the one the district uses!

I wish that would work on my kids - you'd have a picture of screaming and crying (and not just the kids).

I get so behind sometimes because I can't see pics on your blog at work :(. Now I'm getting caught up driving down the road :) haha. Ok I'm not driving. But I am on my hubs small computer so the first thing I saw was something out by the van tire :) haha

I totally saw the bag first. But I love that you have moments of frustration too. I have been working on my patience and becoming less frustrated since becoming a mom. Patience is NOT what I'm known for!

I hope you're having a great weekend!

I'm proud of you! My son constantly does this with my daughter when he should be doing something else and I never can think of what to do!! Now, you've given me a great idea!!

Some days, we moms just have to do what we need to do to get it done, there is no shame in that :)
