Black Friday

Good morning!  Being on vacation is really throwing my schedule totally off- but sleeping in until 8:00- hey I am not going to complain.

Do you shop the Black Friday sales?  I did one year, I went to Kohls, found the thing I wanted and then when I saw the line went to the back of the store I said forget it and left, it just wasn't worth it to me.

Plus when I see videos of people trampolining other people--yea a toy just isn't worth it.  What about you?  Do you shop the Black Friday sales?

As we all get back into the swing of things-- don't forget that next Tuesday will be Ten Things to Smile About- it is your chance to look back over the month and find ten things (big or small) that made you smile.

And now for the winner of the Shutterfly Giveaway-- the winner is entry #195- follow with GFC Renee.   Congrats!

  1. You know what? I got out of line at Kohl's before because of that. No thanks to that kind of waiting! I gave up BF in-store shopping a long time ago!

  2. My friend that lives around the corner from me said that she went to Kohls at 5 am and had the place to herself! I"m going there next year!

  3. I did black friday last year. I really needed flannel, and it was ridiculously on sale, so I decided to brave it. Funny enough, while I was waiting in line to pay, the lady behind me told me that you can get the same deals online. I asked her why on earth she was there that morning, then, and she said it was because she likes black friday. I think she is crazy and told her so. This year, I found the few things we need (I make most of my gifts) and went online! So much nicer than standing in line. However, to avoid shipping costs at one of the stores, I may venture out this afternoon, but by then all the crazies are gone. Also, going out to eat at restaurants on black friday is the best. We did it once and were the only ones in the whole restaurant! We had 5 waiters because they were so bored.

  4. I stood in line at Old Navy for AN HOUR. (at 1 am). What was I thinking?

What were you wanting from Kohl's?

  5. No Black Friday for me. I hate shopping anyway and having to get up early or stay up late to do it isn't attractive. I did wander into Target this morning and scored a $10 gift card though.

  6. I usually Black Friday every year, but this year I didn't because save for stocking stuffers I am DONE! It was pretty nice to sleep in this morning like a normal person (and by normal I mean as a person who has a 3 year old).

  11. I have to say, I like black friday! I love the deals, but this year just seemed like total chaos. Online shopping is my new friend. Found you from Natalie's.

  12. I avoid the stores. I don't like crowds. I even don't like last minute Christmas shopping because people can be so rude and well then I have to say something...lol I think next year I want to just shop on line

  13. I avoid the stores too. I checked the online deals but they were sort of meh. I ended up shopping on Saturday, and Kohl's still had great deals, and no lines. A much better option!

  14. I have the same attitude as you when it comes to Black Friday. Not worth the chaos, time, and possible trampling.

  16. BlackFriday is not nearly as intense up here in Canada, so I ventured out for the first time ever this year! I have to admit, I loved it!

  17. I am definitely not a fan of Black Friday. I'd much rather pay the difference than be up at crazy hours dealing with crazy crowds!
