Friday Confessionals: Where I Act Like a Two-Year-Old

Today I am in the need of some good old confessing with Aubrey at High-Heeled Love.

  • I confess yesterday was a tough day.  Not really sure why.. just one of those days.
  • I tried to be a good mom and play with Ryder.. but when he kept saying, no put your person here, no do this, no do that.   Well I may have thrown down the person and said "I don't want to play anymore"
  • Not one of my more brilliant moments.
  • I confess I may have got just a tad bit annoyed when one of my children did not go to the bathroom before we left, like I asked, only to be whining and having problems the whole time we waited in the school pickup line.
  • 'Mama told you so'- may have left my mouth at some point.
  • I confess that when we picked up Lucas from school and he and Ryder started immediately fighting I may have told them they all had to go to their rooms for the rest of the afternoon.
  • I also may have texted my husband telling him about my "wonderful day" and asking how his day was.
  • I confess, when Lucas started whining and freaking out about not wanting to go to soccer practice, I may have threatened to take away toys, privileges, etc. to get him to go.  (After I talked about following through with your commitments of course)
  • I confess I was actually quite happy and proud that we made it to practice a few minutes early still.... though I was quite confused when I saw this.
  • I confess I was just a little bit ticked when I called his coach to see why no one was there only to find out I somehow did not get the text saying practice had been cancelled.
  • I confess that when Eric finally made it home at 6:40, only to eat dinner and have to leave at 7:00 and when he asked if I was going to be okay, I really meant it when I said "I hope so"
  • I confess when he brought me home this

  • life was once again okay.
What do you have to confess today?

  5. I have missed these confessionals with Mamarazzi!

  7. Thank goodness for that milkshake. That is exactly what I have at the end of a rough day. That's super frustrating that you didn't get the text about practice. I also had to threaten to take away all toys this week....not a good moment for me.

  10. Yuck, that sounds like quite a day. So glad your hubby knows what to bring you to make you feel better. I confess that I need more wine and chocolate in the house.

  11. Oh I am so glad that I'm not the only mom that has these days! Your good mom, to only threaten to take away their toys. I usually threaten to sell them on ebay (the kids, not the toys, haha). Your hubby is a good man! I usually get some form of chocolate from mine on bad days too :)

  15. What a bad day!!

I confess that I took a bunch of tea bags from the event I attended today and I'm going to use them in a teacher appreciation day gift.

  17. It's amazing what ice cream can do for a girl with a sweet tooth! :o) I'm sorry you had a rough day - I hope your weekend was more relaxing!

  18. That does sound like a rough day! I had one of those on Saturday and then ended up with an excruciating stomach ache. It was like my body knew what was going to happen and was just gearing up for it and all that gearing up involved me being cranky and annoyed by my kids.

  21. I have those days... a lot.

Today is a new day... the start of a new week... and hopefully it'll be amazing!

  22. I don't know how to play with kids - or better yet, how to play with boys. I'd be more than happy to play with dolls or a house or something but I have boys and they want me to smash cars around and that just takes so much EFFORT. I have to move around the floor on my knees and hope I don't crush anything and make silly noises and hope for the best.

  23. Mint chip always makes any day better! Hang in there momma we all have days like this!

  24. Yep, that would make your day better :). I could use some of that right now in fact, although I'm not really having a rotten day... yet ;)

  25. Oh my gosh, sounds like you had a rough day! I've had moments like that with my son, where I stop playing with him because he is dictating every move I can make, or he just has an off day and is super uncooperative. Yay for the treat your husband brought you!

  26. Some days...! I am glad your husband brought you a treat to cheer you up!

And I hope that was the last of that crazy day!

  27. I can't stand when my kids refuse to use the bathroom before we leave, then start telling me they have to a few minutes later. UGH! So glad you got that treat to make your day better!

  28. Yikes, that is a bad day! I hate days like that. What a sweet husband you have to rescue you with ice cream in the end. I am so glad to see you survived! And I am so glad to see I am not the only mother who sometimes behaves like a two year old. :)
