Chicago Family Trip: Part 3

Okay- I meant to get more of these posts done last week, but we were so busy having fun on our Utah vacation that I never finished my Chicago recap.  Today I will be digging out a huge pile of laundry- hate that about trips- so enjoy Part 3 of our Chicago Trip.
If you missed them, here are parts 1 and 2
   Chicago Trip Part 1
   Chicago Trip Part 2

If you have been following my blog this year, you know that we have been taking full advantage of our Knott's Berry Farm season passes; so while we were in Chicago we of course had to go to Black Berry Farm, even though yes the two are not even closely related.

I remember going to Black Berry Farm as a child but today it is even better with so many new things to see and do.

From the old school, the blacksmith shop and other old stores and buildings; to the barn playground, the paddles boats and merry-go-round, it was a full day of fun and learning.

Our trip's timing also worked out perfectly for my mom, my SIL and I to be able to take advantage of the Wilton Tent Sale.  Rows and rows of amazingly discounted cake and baking supplies!

I did somehow manage to get that all in my luggage... I would have bought more if I wasn't restricted by space.
Tomorrow I will finish up our trip recap with all of the fun things we did in Downtown Chicago.

  4. OH, and Black Berry Farm looks a lot like Crossroads Village here. Recreating life from the area in the 1800's.
