10 Things to Smile About in February

It's the last Tuesday of the month, so that means it's time for 10 Things to Smile About This Month.  (#10Things) Write a list, add some pictures, whatever 10 things made you smile.  Linky will be open for two weeks, so lots of time to join in.

10 Things to Smile About February

1. Watching the Olympics on and off and seeing America win the gold!

2. Celebrating Valentine's day with the family

3. Rain!  We so need it in SoCal and had it for one day and it is supposed to rain again this week!

4. Finally doing Time For Tots days again.. well one, but I have another all planed!

5. Happy mail from one of the nicest authors ever, Megan Thomason!  Signed copies of each of her books, Daynight and Arbitrate- go read them!

6. That soccer practices are only three days a week instead of 4 and that so far both Lucas and Alex really like their coaches and teams, and that there is a nice playground close by so I can sit back and relax while the other two (who aren't at practice) play.

7. A new place for backpacks!  It is actually a TV stand, but it has 4 big spaces perfect for the three kids backpacks and one more for lunch boxes.

8. This picture, my sweet baby is getting big!

9. Alex having a great end to her basketball season.  Her last game she scored three points, stole a couple of balls and several assists!  It was so awesome to watch how much she improved over the season

10.  Sitting on my bed and just admiring my bedroom with it's new makeover!  All will be revealed tomorrow!

  1. Can't wait to see your bedroom reveal! We're toying around with redoing ours so I want some ideas. Love the picture of Ryder though he definitely doesn't look like a baby in it! I have a love/hate relationship with the photos that show how big they're getting!

    1. Yes, totally agree about the love/hate thing. He is definitely getting big and it is so bitter sweet to me

    1. Yes! I love that this piece does have little slots in the door too, feels like it will be better incase their backpacks get smelly to something to have some ventilation :)

    1. Yes, I measured the space and the cabinet before buying it, but as we were moving it over to the space for a moment I panicked as it looked like it might not fit, but it does perfectly!

  4. Love the backpack cabinet! Very cleaver!! Can't wait to see your room reveal. Hopefully you get that rain! we're in for possibility of snow/ice tonight and then this weekend... but I'm from the Show Me State so we'll see :)

    1. We did get rain last night finally! Plus it is supposed to start raining again tonight and rain all the way through Sunday! Biggest storm in years! Prayers and fasting worked.

    1. Yes, I would have never thought to look at TV stands either, I just saw it in a Target ad not realizing what it actually was then saw it in the store and it the shelves inside are the perfect size.

  8. Wow, Ryder is growing up so fast. I love the tv stand/storage space. Little additions to the house that are functional and pretty always make me so happy. It's the little things right? I'm so excited that rain is in our forecast too. We desperately need it! I actually got a little sunburned the other day. In February!!

    1. Yes, I got sunburned at the park myself the other day! So wrong. Yes, I never would have thought to look at TV stands when I was looking for pieces but I saw it in the store and it was perfect.

    1. Yes, I don’t think you are the only one that does :) It so often sneaks up on me. Yes, as we were moving it into the space we panicked for a minute thinking it might not fit, but I knew I had measured everything before I bought it

  13. The piece of furniture for your backpacks is perfect and I love that photo of Ryder, too. I can't believe that tiny, super early angel is getting so big and is so perfect and healthy. It's so fun to watch your beautiful family grow (even just online!)
