Why Do I Blog?

This question was raised at the Elevate Blog Conference I attended this weekend (which I will recap here soon), why do you blog?

For each of us it will be something different, but if we lose sight of that why, that true purpose behind what we do, then we will lose ourselves and our joy in this whole process.

So why do I blog?

At first it was just to keep a record, to share what was happening with my family, but it has become so much more.

It is my place, my place to share, my place to be creative, it is my place to be a light.

In this world of ever changing morals, values and chaos, I want to be light.

I want to share goodness and hope, I want to share a love of motherhood.  I want to help others realize there is something worth fighting for.

But I am also going to be real.  I don't have a perfect pin worthy home, and every moment isn't fun crafts, and happy children.  I want to be real and share all while instilling a sense of peace.

Life is good, life can be good.  We just have to fight for it, we just have to look for it, and then when we find it, we have to share, so others can see that light.

That is why I blog.

  2. So true! You've gotta do it for you...and as the years have gone by the reason I have has changed and evolved. Love the last photo---definitely a great reason to blog!

  3. You look like you stepped out of a magazine! Wow, sounds like I needed to attend that conference because I just recently questioned why I blog...
