Kids Books

Okay, so I am still in Chicago visiting family but if you follow my blog, well you realized that I didn't exactly take a vacation from my blog. So I figured I had better post my Wednesday kids book.

This week's book is one that my mom has at her house that we are probably going to have to buy for ourselves when we go home. It is called Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, by Judi Barrett.
This book is a tall tale that a grandfather tells his grandkids about a town of Chewandswallow. Imagine living in a town where all of the food rained down from the sky! Sounds great to me! Imagine no more cooking, no more grocery shopping!

When I told Lucas that we would be coming to visit my parents he told me when we were there he wanted to read the book with the jello sunset in the town of Chewandswallow; we hadn't been to my parents since last September.

This book is great for older kids too, on the book itself it says it is for 9 to 11-year-olds, however, on the site that I got the picture from it says the book is for 4 to 8-year-olds. My four-year-old loves it and my two-year-old happily listens too.

So for a cute different story that even us grown up kids (i.e. the parents) will enjoy, check out Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.

  4. This is honestly one of my most favorite books of all time. I can't believe that we don't have a copy of it in our home. I must rectify this immediately.
