My Two Mirrors

Want to know every flaw, bad habit, and vice you have? Just watch or ask your children... you will find out.

When Alex still had her mami (her paci), well I was getting rather fed up with it. "Stupid paci", I would often mutter under my breath. Suddenly everything was stupid to Lucas. "Stupid car", "stupid food"... Hmm flaw number one pointed out. So we both resolved not to say stupid anymore.

Some days, well they are tough. There have been some moments were I have mumbled or maybe even declared loudly "You guys are driving me crazy!"

One night as Lucas was saying his bed time prayers, he prayed: "Thank thee that mom didn't go crazy today."

Nothing like the sweet innocence of children reflecting back your slip-ups and foibles.

  1. Out of the mouths of babes. Soon you be adding other people's babes to that once Lucas starts school.

  2. So true, so true. I cringe at some of the things my kids do because I know where they learned it. Ouch.

  3. London says "Ouchie Mama!" because of me...among other things. My son has come home with some interesting rhymes from school, but nothing too shocking. For the time being, at least.

  4. So true! My girls are little parrots so I have to be careful of what I say. One of my girls calls everything "don't touch." She also says repeats the word "gosh" which sounds funny but I probably shouldn't get her used to that one.
