My First "Job"

I would love someday for my photography to be more than just a hobby. When we were in Utah I did my first unofficial job.. i.e. I took my sister-in-laws family picture for free.I had a lot of fun doing it and realized a few things along the way.. it is harder than I thought it would be,
and I really want a new lens for my camera, like a 55-300mm one
(hint-hint to my family for my birthday or Christmas!)

But in the end I got lots of shots I love and I can't wait to do it again!

  1. Love the "subliminal" message you put in there. hehe. The pictures are great. I worked at a photography place--The Picture People--it was fun and hard. Some people are really easy to please. Some are not at all. Some groups just click with you, others do not. Babies fuss as you know, kids get bored. Etc. But the final product is what makes it fun.

  6. I don't know if you've mentioned it before, but what kind of camera do you use? And I love the last picture especially. But I also love the picture with the little girl kind of getting tripped up. Those seriously are the ones that tell a story.

I too want to start developing my talent in the photography world, but right now.. all I use is a Kodak point and shoot camera. So maybe a little down the road I can get into something like that.

  7. Wendy-
I have a Cannon Rebel G Xti, it was my Christmas present last year. I love it! It is great if you don't know what you are doing, as it can do the work for you, but then can also be totally manual too to get the really good shots.
So far I am just self taught, have read a few books, and mostly just take lots of pictures.
