Cooking Club: Moist N Tender Wings

The next April recipe for the Cooking Club, is one I submitted. I found this recipe on Allrecipes.com, an awesome site with so many recipes. This is an easy slow cooker recipe that is great for a party, entertaining, or if you are just really wanting some wings.

Moist N Tender Wings-from Allrecipes.com

Ingredients

  • 25 whole chicken wings
  • 1 (12 ounce) bottle chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon salsa
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 3 drops hot pepper sauce

Directions

  1. Cut chicken wings into three sections; discard wing tips. Place the wings in a 5-qt. slow cooker. In a bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; pour over chicken. Stir to coat. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until chicken is tender.
*Editor's Note: Five pounds of uncooked chicken wing sections (wingettes) may be substituted for the whole chicken wings. Omit the first step. (This is what I did)

Such an easy recipe and they were so good! The meat was falling off of the bones. And I know I have been craving chicken wings a lot lately... hey, I guess I do actually have cravings :)
