Proud Mommy Moments: Sibling Love

Ready for the good the bad and the funny?  It's Proud Mommy Moment Time! This is your weekly chance to brag about the awesome things your kids, nieces, nephews, etc did and no one will judge because we told you to. Or you can do the opposite and tell us about those moments your kids made you so "proud"- i.e. something totally embarrassing but hey it makes for great blog material!  Please grab the button for your post and visit my co-host Kmama.

Every Thursday!

I know there will be times that they fight.  I know there may even be times where they don't really like each other.  But as a mom, one of the things I want and hope for is that my kids always love each other and are there for each other.

Yesterday was Alex's birthday- as you read in yesterday's post- she instructed her brother on how to find her a good present.  Well not only did he find her an awesome present (a Barbie that is a Princess that can turn into a Rockstar and even sings) but he hurried and got ready for bed Tuesday night so he would have time to make her this

It made my heart so happy and I love how naturally good and sweet he is.

And Alex loved the card and even wrote a thank you note.

Though a little miscommunication from me and she wrote "care" instead of card.  But it actually fits as Lucas truly does care about his sister and take care of her.

Alex loved all her presents.  In fact in her words, "I just love all my presents so much I am going to die!"

Of course the princess needed a princess cake (which I made)

And she blew out the candles in pure Alex fashion

i.e. with flair and gusto!

So a very good day and a very proud mama- who hopes they always are so good to each other.

What is your Proud Mommy Moment this week?

  11. That is just adorable! I know exactly what you mean too. These moments between siblings make your heart melt with love and happiness. I'm the same watching my boys together. Great cake too! I have to make Bennys cake tomorrow and I'm not that great at cakes let alone decorating them. Luckily he is young enough not to remember it ha ha!! xxx

  12. So wonderful, you have amazing kids! lol, my favorite moment this week was the parent teacher conference... because the teacher had inadvertently made a "Mad libs" and my son totally had a blast with it, which is why she wanted to meet with me.
