Proud Mommy Moments: Kissing and Marriage

Ready for the good the bad and the funny?  It's Proud Mommy Moment Time! This is your weekly chance to brag about the awesome things your kids, nieces, nephews, etc did and no one will judge because we told you to. Or you can do the opposite and tell us about those moments your kids made you so "proud"- i.e. something totally embarrassing but hey it makes for great blog material!  Please grab the button for your post and visit my co-host Kmama.

Every Thursday!

We haven't had the official birds and the bees talk with our kids yet; we mostly have answered questions as they come up.  Lucas knows some things, we have had talks about p*rnography and he knows a little more about that time of month than I thought he would at this age-- but there is still a lot they don't know.

A couple of days ago, Lucas and Alex were playing a game on the computer together sitting in the same chair.  Alex started to get restless and so started attacking her brother and soon they were laughing and fighting and just causing trouble when I heard the following.

Alex: "Your lips almost touched mine!  Then we would have to get married!"

Yep- I think I will enjoy their innocence a little longer.

What is your Proud Mommy Moment this week?

And yep-- I am so excited as tomorrow is the official launch of the Review Extravaganza 2012.  You can read all of the rules here and remember you will want to link up all four weeks as it will greatly help your chances of being the winner of over $300 in prizes!!

  1. Oh no! LOL I so dread having any of the conversations with the kids. I'm very thankful that I have c-sections. It's made the "how will the baby come out" conversation super easy. ;-)

  3. Awe, that's too cute! I'm glad they still can hold on to some innocence. When my husband and I were dating his daughter was 6 and she said to us, I hope you never have sex daddy. I was floored when that came out of a 6 year old's mouth. No clue where she heard anything like that and she's never said anything of the sorts since... it was weird!

  6. I'm so glad you are already teaching what pornography is (a great lie)...good for you! Who better to learn from than your own parents. Parents will tell a child truth.

Your kids are the best! Nice goin' mom and dad!

  9. We were watching TV and my eldest daughter asked her daddy where her penis was. He explained that she had a vagina. She said, "I know, but where is my penis?"
