Friday Five: Milestones

Time for Friday Five!
friday five
With Friday Five, every Friday I share 5 pictures from the week and 5 things that happened that didn't need a post of their own.

1. Alex's team won her first basketball game... we think.  They don't actually keep score but pretty sure her team scored more.  She looked great out there, looked like a real player (though her shooting still needs some help)- but she kicked butt at defense.

2. I made it back to work out class!  It felt so good to be there, though I was sore the next day.

3. Ryder started Primary!  I happened to see him in between sharing time and his little class and he looked like a deer in headlights, but he was happy when we picked him up.

4.  Kids went back to school and we survived the transition back, in fact I think we all relished in it as we were all starting to get a bit antsy.

5. Ryder got proposed to.  A little girl (or grill as he pronounces it) at exercise class was playing with him and said that they were married.  It was cute an fun until she told him that he had to kiss her since they were married.  He just stood there and looked at her like what in the world am I supposed to do.

  1. What a great idea for Friday! Is it a linky? Love the story about Ryder and the girl at the gym. Love that you are going back to the gym. Best feeling ever!

    1. It isn’t a linky yet but I might make it one if it seems like there is interest in people joining in

    1. Yes, we were leaving Old Navy and it happened to be there along the road, so I had to take the chance to get the shot

  6. Huge milestones.
Anyone that is happy with Primary is awesome in my book. Since I'm there I see the tears.

  9. I love the pic of Ryder in front of the truck, he is a cutie! Allison was supposed to go back to school Monday but because of the -40 wind chills for a few days, then the snowy, icy roads she didn't go back at all. She is getting very anxious to go back.

I agree with Amy, this would make a fun linky!!

  10. We started back this week too. One day was a three hour delay due to cold. I think JDaniel enjoyed a slow start to the school schedule.

    1. Yes, so many people had their start back to school messed up because of the weather

  11. That is a beautiful picture of Ryder on the chair!

Good for you getting back into an exercise routine, too! I'm slowly working my way to getting back into the gym 3 days a week. It's NOT easy!

  12. Wow! Alex looks fierce. Cute pic of the boy and the Ryder truck! So cute. Awesome that you started the exercise routine. One of my neighbors sighed during the holidays and commented that this is the time of year when we eat too much and move too little. Good for you!

    1. She really is quite awesome at defense, this last game she was even more fierce, totally shutting down one little girl.
      Your neighbor was exactly right
