A Mother's Day Recap

It began by me being greeted with cards and flowers, it is obvious who took the most time on her card.

Followed with a yummy breakfast of cinnamon rolls and sausage.

Next a wonderful time at church, which included a cute song song by the primary kids.

They even had bells, each colored bells was a different note.  Ryder had a green bell and when the chorister pointed to the green dot he rang his bell and said "I did it" right in the middle of the song.  It was completely adorable.

When we got home from church, I sat on the couch and played games on my iPad while Eric made an amazing dinner.

Grilled chicken and asparagus, fully loaded twice baked potatoes, and cheesy garlic bread.  I was a happy mama.

Then I opened the rest of the presents from the kids, a new pancake griddle (after 12 years mine was no longer stick-proof), two necklaces (that Alex picked out), a new pair of sunglasses (that Lucas picked out) some chocolate and cute homemade presents. Eric already gave me a present a week ago of upgraded memory for my computer.

It was a wonderful Mother's Day, I was fully spoiled and am so grateful to be a mother.

Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.

  1. Looks like a great day! My hubby is not much of a cooker but he started breakfast for us while we were at Church and that is a bonus! I love the homemade gifts more than the ones that cost money, at my place I mean!

    1. Hey especially if they aren't much of a cooker and take the effort to do it that is awesome!

  2. Looks like a great day - recapping mine later this week. We cook a lot of pancakes, mostly for dinner, so maybe I need a griddle. Is it electric? But then I really love waffles and want a waffle maker, too. I have too many kitchen tools/appliances, need more room!

    1. Nope it is just one that goes on the stove. I do have an electric one but I honestly always forget about it and never use it.

    1. I actually totally did! In the past Alex has picked out jewelry that has been a little much for my taste but I loved the ones she picked, already worn one of the neckless twice (and I am not an everyday jewelry kind of girl) and the glasses are awesome, comfortable and fit great. I was totally happy with what they picked
