First Day of School 2016

It's happened, we are now midway through our first week of school; so of course I have to share our First Day of School Pictures.

This is a huge year as my oldest is in Middle School (does anyone ever like the middle school years??) and my baby is now in school all day.  I think back to when I started this blog, almost 8 years ago, and I cannot believe all that has changed and to be totally cliche, how fast it all goes.

The First Day of School

Middle School For Lucas- totally insane to me.  I am so proud of the young man he is becoming.  He looks me right in the eye now, probably only half an inch shorter than me, his feet long ago passed mine in size.  He really is one the bravest kids I know, as he faces his anxieties and fears everyday.

Oh my Alex, my one girl- she continues to thrive and love life and succeed at everything she does.  She was beyond thrilled to qualify for GATE this year (Gifted and Talented Education).  She loves playing goalie for her club team and is a good friend.  She takes life at it's fullest.  Oh and she now wears the same size shoes I do.

My Ryder, my baby, I cannot believe he is in first grade.  I clearly remember when Lucas started first grade, how have we gotten here in life?  Ryder continues to have his funny sense of humor, so clever and creative.  He is the smallest of my kids (and not only because he is the youngest), but I have no doubt he will tower over me before I know it.  He still gives the best hugs and will cuddles with me.  So far he is loving being in first grade and I think he will have a great year and change so much.

And of course our traditional group pictures

(unfortunately I didn't start doing the signs until Lucas was in second grade)

Do you have any traditional back to school pictures?
