The Review: Utah Trip Day 3 & 4

Day 3

Splash Pads!
So fun to get wet.
In the afternoon we went to the Oquirrh (O-ker) Mountain Temple Open House.
It is so beautiful inside with a unique layout. We fully intended to take lots of pictures outside of it.. but we went at 4:30, by the time we were done we were really hungry and all of the cameras were in the car. So in the end we let our stomachs win.Alex and her cousin Madeline wore matching dresses that day, thanks Mimi!

We went to dinner at Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Yummy, yummy burgers, with a whole list of things you can put on it and a big BAG of fries! And since we were in Utah, FRY SAUCE! Mmmm! I couldn't have been happier.

And then we saw the 24th of July Parade (a Utah thing) the smart way... we went to Expo Center and saw all of the floats on display! Yeah, no waking up at 6:00 AM to fight for a spot to see the parade.BYU float, one of our favorites of course!

Day 4

We ventured to the Children's Museum in Salt Lake.

Alex played with my favorite thing, a cash register! When I was little, the pretend stores were always my favorite part in kid's museums. I REALLY wanted a cash register of my own, not just a play one but a real one. I used to walk up and down the isle in Office Max drooling. When I had a paper route, I seriously contemplated saving my money to buy one.
And of course, Lucas found one of his favorite things.
Construction stuff!

And for lunch--Cafe Rio!
This really was a good trip.

  1. Now that looks fun. I need to take a family vacation to Utah. Oh, wait--I live here. I guess you know how to find all the good stuff.

  2. Fiauna--that is just how it is, if it is your home town you hardly do the fun things. My mom's brother always used to say he needed her to come visit more often as that was the only time he did fun things around his home town :)
