Christmas Day Recap

On Christmas Eve my nieces were talking about how they were going to wake up at 3:30 AM as they would be too excited to sleep... I hoped my kids weren't listening. Luckily they weren't.

They slept in until their usual time and came into our room, excited to go down. We wait until everyone is up then Eric and I go down first and get everything ready-Christmas tree lights on, windows open for as much light as possible, cameras ready... and then we let them come down and the excitement begins.

Checking out what Santa brought

Still opening lots of gifts

Family dinner, extended family parties, lots of second-cousins

  3. Did Santa bring you a baby? :)

My kids woke us up at 5:45-it's the only day of the year some of them get up that early voluntarily.

Great photos--looks like you had a lot of fun.

  4. So fun! I love seeing Ryder in video, I still don't know him enough and it's fun to see him moving his cute little arms. Fun to see Eric open the pretzels too. FUN!

  5. How fun!! Before I had the boys, I kinda lost the joy of the holidays, but now, seeing it through their eyes, it's like I'm a kid all over again.

  9. Oh Emily...THANK YOU so much for the fabulous glimpse into Christmas at your house. I love the photo of the extended family a lot! Ryder is such a beautiful baby. WOWOW! Alex perfectly charmed me, and Lucas cracked me up the way he got right to his sock by dumping it out. Great approach!!! Love YOU!!!
