Proud Mommy Moments: School Lessons

Ready for the good the bad and the funny?  It's Proud Mommy Moment Time! This is your weekly chance to brag about the awesome things your kids, nieces, nephews, etc did and no one will judge because we told you to. Or you can do the opposite and tell us about those moments your kids made you so "proud"- i.e. something totally embarrassing but hey it makes for great blog material! Chances are you are writing something about your kids anyway- so most likely it will fit. Please grab the button for your post and visit my co-host Kmama.

Every Thursday!

I am always curious as to what goes on at school and what my kids are learning.   As soon as Alex gets in the car I ask her how her day was.  "Great it was awesome!"

Yesterday she was really excited as she received an invitation to a birthday party to "my best best friend's party!"  This best best friend happens to be a boy.  She went on to tell me that he likes ninjas and she likes princesses so sometimes they will play ninja's and princess.  It was quite cute to hear her go on and on.

When she finally finished I asked her what she learned?

Silence.

"Did you learn how to say the alphabet while standing on your head?  I jokingly asked.
Alex: "No!  I don't know how to stand on my head."
Me: "Well what did you learn?"

Silence.

Me: "Did you learn how to pick your nose?"
Alex: "No! I already know that I have known that since I was 3, or maybe 2!"

Well at least she knows that important life skill right?

Ah, what a proud mommy moment.

What is your Proud Moment this week?

  1. Well, now that she has mastered that, she can move on to trying to stand on her head!

  8. Ha! That's awesome. My four year old has taken to making me watch Paula Deen every afternoon and now he has me baking with him when he sees something he likes on there. Today it was muffins :)

  13. Well, she definitely has the basics down... those are important life skills.

Now maybe her teacher can work on the standing on her head part :)

  14. Ha! How cute. I had a best friend who was a boy when I was her age. He moved the summer between kindergarten and first grade, and to this day I still wonder about him. He was the best at playing and imagining and running around. Though we never did play princess and ninja. :) You are such a fun mom!
