{no. 1} Water or coffee/tea/soda? Water for sure. We rarely ever buy pop (yes pop I was raised in the Midwest) but will have it when we go out to dinner and I don't drink coffee.
{no. 2} Beach or mountains? Both-- which I sort of have. I live inland and right by a mountain range. I can get up a full blown mountain resort that people ski at within an hour and can get to the ocean in an hour. So cheating and saying both.
The mountain range right by my house even gets a snow dusting in the winter |
{no. 4} Lots of activity or a quiet getaway? If I am going to have the kids with me, then lots of activity so they aren't bored... but I also almost always have the kids with me so the idea of a quiet getaway without kids is heaven!
{no. 5} Comedy or drama? Romantic comedy-so there is some drama in there. If I have to pick just one I think I lean more towards the drama.
What about you? How would you answer the questions?
I feel lucky that I live somewhere like you do - a small town nestled between a mountain range with great hiking trails, and a river with nice beaches. :) The best of both worlds!! (Can't say I've done much hiking in the past, though... I'm definitely more of a beach girl!) I also don't buy pop - it's just a treat when I eat out now!
ReplyDeleteI'm like you in that for evenings I just want to watch mindless tv. You're so lucky with your mountains and beach access! I have both in my state too but the mountain side is much farther.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit jealous of your proximity to beach AND mountains. :) We live in the mountains, but are still relatively close (4 hours) to the beach. We just don't get to go as often as I would like. And romantic comedies. My favorite!
ReplyDeleteI'm sandwiched between the beach and the mountains...but I'm more of a beach girl. I guess I am because that's where my family always went. I feel ya...I just like to mindlessly sit for a while with the tv at night...but a good book, like you said, is so awesome to have!
ReplyDeleteI would answer them exactly the same way as you. It's so good to know that people outside the midwest still call it pop too!
ReplyDeleteYOu really do have the best of both worlds in California. Beach AND Mountains!
ReplyDeleteYes when it comes to things to do, weather, etc California is the best but definitely have our share of problems and craziness and really expensive to live here.
ReplyDeleteWell not sure how many people do- but I do! Though when I go out to eat and ask what pop they have they sometimes look at me for a second like they don't know what i am talking about
ReplyDeleteYes, I think I probably lean towards the beach a bit more too-- if only the sand would stay at the beach it would be perfect :)
ReplyDeleteYea, in regards to location we really do live in a pretty cool spot
ReplyDeleteYes, I always think I will get more things done once the kids are in bed but once they are I am just ready to sit and veg!
ReplyDeleteThat is so lucky! So nice to have so many different options of things to do
ReplyDeleteI grew up in Oregon and we always called it Pop too! Now I call it soda, only because other Californians look at me like I'm a weirdo if I say pop. Romcoms are my favorite too. There has been a severe lack of good romcoms lately!
ReplyDeleteWhere I live is sort of the same way - about an hour to the beach and about an hour to the mountains! It's really nice (:
ReplyDeleteBooks are a must! I love, love, love books!
Thanks so much for linking up with us :D
Had a hard time choosing on those last four questions, didn't you? :o) I would, too - probably would have answered the same way you did on all of them!
ReplyDeleteohhhh books how I miss thee! I haven't really had a chance to read anything that is not homeschool related since the baby was born. I know this time will pass though and soon I'll be devouring books again left and write.
ReplyDeleteI am a comedy girl, all the way. So not a fan of the romantic stuff. I know, I am an anomaly, but that's just how it is. Those are great questions!
ReplyDeleteRomantic comedies are such fun. I love to head to the beach too. My son just loves it.
ReplyDeleteMy kids love it too, though Ryder isn't a fan of the water yet but he is more than happy to play in the sand.
ReplyDeleteNo worries-- I am not huge into it but a little romance added to the story does make it fun. I guess when I think of comedy I think of more slapstick and I can only handle so much of that
ReplyDeleteYes!! I do love reading but try not to too often as I totally get lots in a book and start neglecting everything else until I am done.
ReplyDeleteLol- yes yes I did :)
ReplyDeleteNo problem thank you for always hosting.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, I didn't realize they called in Pop in Oregon- I thought it was just a midwest thing.
