A Plea for Help

It's Thursday.. this week is almost over and I am ready for it to be. And it is Thursday so well I am ready to thank a few things in a very sarcastic manner.

Oh but before I do--please please go vote for me here. It is for my cute Tootsie Roll Video the kids and I made. All you have to do is click one little button in the sidebar poll-vote for Emmy Mom! Thank you thank you. So once again just go here-today is the last day to vote!!

And now my Thank You's.

To the Weather-
Thank you very much for teasing us with this nice cool weather and then getting hotter than you have been the entire summer! Seriously 108 at the end of September! In case you did not get the memo, I don't live in Arizona anymore. So thank you for making me hide inside all day as let's face it, I don't live in Arizona anymore, that is just too hot.
Thanks-
The lady who likes good California weather

To the Upstairs Air Conditioning-
Thank you so so much for running great and keeping us cool during this extremely hot time. What's that you say? You didn't do this, in fact you stopped working; oh that's right, how could I forget? I mean I love trying to go to bed at night when it is 83 degrees inside. Thank you for that.
Thanks-
The lady who was sweating in bed

To the Mouse in the AC Unit-
Did you somehow cause the compressor to blow? Probably not, but you are disgusting anyway. So thank you for visiting us, I am glad you are dead-I hope your rotting stench keeps your friends away.
Thanks-
The lady who likes it when the AC works

So head over and write up your thanks for the week. And please vote for me. Today is the last day, so no more begging after this.

Thanks a lot Letters

It's Thursday, I am more than ready for this week to be over, but it's Eric's turn to work on Saturday, so the end is further away. Definitely a good time to link up with both Shortmama and Kmama, for what I like to call my Thankful Letters to Someone. Definitely check out both of their blogs.
Family of Shorts

To my Children-
I love that you were so excited to see the rainbow in the whole sky, i.e. the sun rising, but well that much excitement before 6:00 AM is just wrong. I just love it when the clock says 5:50 AM. It made it even better when you stared fighting with each other after three minutes of being up. Ah what a beautiful way to start the day.
Love,
Your mom who is not going to be a happy mom if you do that ever again

To Walgreen's-
Thank you for being able to fill Ryder's prescription and accepting our insurance (no sarcasm here), I like paying $10 much more than $55. Thank you for adding flavoring so the medicine is not completely nasty and bitter--oh wait you didn't do this, in fact it wasn't until he gagged on it and hardly drank it that I realized it was missing. But when I called, you said to bring it in and you would add it.
Thanks-

Dear Self-
Great job putting on your big girl shorts and calling the pharmacy about the problem, I know sometimes you have a hard time doing that. And thank you for sitting around all morning and then finally calling about 30 minutes before Alex needed to be picked up. You did a great job scrambling to get ready grabbing the medicine-even putting it in a lunch bag with ice since it has to be refrigerated. And the best part, when you finally got to Walgreen's while walking in the store felt prompted to check to make sure you had the medicine; thank you so much for saying "no, of course I do". And thank you for still ignoring this feeling while waiting in line for almost ten minutes. It made the moment when you stepped to the counter only to pull out his old bottle of medicine that much more exciting. And when the pharmacist said "you are having a bad day" being able to do nothing but agree. But think, then you got to come back with the other two kids! Oh goody!
Love-
The why did I put it off and ignore the Spirit mama

Dear Self Again- (is so much self talk a good thing?)
Thank you for picking up the kids, stopping by home to get the right medicine, going to the pharmacy and then deciding to go to Sonic for lunch since we were on that side of town. Best decision ever--no sarcasm here AT ALL. Good job, mama-sometimes you can make good decisions. A cherry limeade really can fix the day.
Love-
The good happy belly filled mom

How was your day?

Letters to Someone

It's Thursday! Friday is knocking at the door... and so usually by the end of the week it is time to thank some people for the wonderful thing going on. So this week I am combining my Letters to Someone from shortmama with my Thank you very Much Thursday from Kmama.
Family of Shorts

To Lucas School-
Thank you so much for letting us drive up and pick up our kids. It really is easier for me with two others in tow. And thank you for making it so easy and run smoothly.... Oh wait, you didn't. In fact on the day we were supposed to be able to drive up and pick up our kids the assistant wasn't there so all of us parents in the do not park, pick-up only zone had to get out of our cars and walk up and get the kids. Thank you for helping establish good pick-up habits for all of those kindergarten parents.
Thanks-
The Mom who really didn't want to get out of her car

To the Kindergarten Parents-
We all know how great of a job the school did with pickup on Monday, but let's not develop any bad habits. So two days later, when the system had been working right for two days, thank you for stopping your car and getting out. It really helps everything run so smoothly. And especially thank you to those parents whose time is so much more important than everyone else's and drive up in the other lane only to cut in line. I am so glad you are so much more important than the rest of us.
Thanks-
The Mom who actually understands how the pick-up lane works

To that one boy in Lucas class-
Yes, the child who sat next to Lucas at snack time on Tuesday, I am talking to you. Thank you so much for taking the note I wrote to Lucas and ripping it up. I am so glad you are already a little bully. Your mother must be so proud. So next time just keep your hands to yourself or I might just let you know what I think of you.
Thanks-
The mom who does not like kids picking on her boy

To Lucas-
Let's learn to please keep your hands to yourself.. i.e don't hug kids around the neck anymore. I don't want to be the recipient of a letter like this from another mom or your teacher.
Thanks-
The mom who really does love you and has taught you better than that

So go check out both Shortmama and Kmama's blog and link up with one or both, venting can be good for the soul :)
